Places to study in the CAS building!

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) building is the heart of Kean’s English Department.

Four floors tall and packed dozens of classrooms, the CAS building can be an overwhelming place to be sometimes—- but luckily, it has its quiet corners for relaxing socializing and studying.

On the first floor past the main desk, there’s sitting area with cozy chairs and tables—- conveniently, right next to the vending machines!

On the second, third, and fourth floor there are soft chairs lined against the windows near the main stairwells. On these floors you’ll also find seating areas towards the middle and end of main hallways.

And if all else fails, just sit on the floor! (I’m serious) I find the floor to be very comforting and even a bit zen! I like to grab my Starbucks Frappuccino, find a nice quiet corner, sit down and just study/work to my heart’s content!

If none of these areas interest you, that’s completely fine! Our campus has tons of places to sit, study, snack, or just chat with friends! But next time you’re in the CAS building, definitely try to get some work done in one of those seating areas! Complete game changer!
