With the development of mass communication, writing has become an essential part in how people communicate across the globe. Although most of this is due to technology, there are other means of writing as well such as letters.
Writing in underdeveloped countries is, well, underdeveloped. The people in these countries are struggling daily to live a normal life. Most lack access to formal education which affects their ability to communicate. Although most of this is due to funding, it is also a way for countries to hide the voices that can save them.
Due to writing being a level of communication, many underdeveloped countries lack the resources they need to learn these basic life skills and cannot communicate this to the rest of the world for help. Leaders of these countries profit off of some of their people being uneducated because they often get money from other countries to fund these kinds of issues.
If writing was taught properly in underdeveloped countries, there could be more amazing writers; young, old and new. Allowing the voices of these countries to speak out through writing may help a lot of little communities gain recognition and get the help they need.
