So, before you start writing your novel, you might want to make an outline of it to help you write your novel and make your story flow better. Some of the things you should have in your outline are:

  • Title - have a good title that gains the audience's attention and is relatable to the story.

  • Setting - have a setting that shows where your story will take place.

  • Characters - have lists of characters that will be in your novel and the role of them.

  • Theme - what your story will be based on.

  • Plot - describe the story and the importance of the events happening in the story.

  • Conflict - the story's turning point.

  • Climax - the action of the story's or when the conflict is resolved.

Other points you might want to include and be careful of in your novel are:

  • Be more descriptive and detailed as much as you can in the story.

  • Have a big twist at the end of the story.

  • Add more dialogues in the story.

  • Choose a title in which the audience will feel specious and want to read your novel.

  • Start your story with an ending point (the climax) and then come back to the story from the beginning as to how the story leads to the climax.

These are some of the tips on how to write an outline of your novel before you start writing your actual novel. The importance of these components will help you to brainstorm  your ideas before you write your novel. It will also help to make your story in a better flow. I hope this helps!
