Why did I Choose an English Major?

I started off my university as a freshman majoring in Education. I have always dreamt of becoming a teacher. Like any other student, I had so many plans after I will graduate with an Education major. But life doesn’t go according to our plans. I was in my junior year when I realized that maybe I am not that fit to become a teacher because it requires a lot of time and patience. According to the University guidelines of Education major, I have to pass the PRAXIS exam, which is a whole other studying guide. Also, I have to do student teaching during my degree. At that time, I got engaged and was planning to get married in a year. I wanted to finish my education first before settling into my new life.

I wanted to study in a major where there are more opportunities in the work field and a major which I feel passionate about. I always felt very passionate when it comes to writing.
